The New York Narrative

Hi Everyone and welcome to The New York Narrative!

Hope everyone’s New Year has gotten off to a great start. I’m not really one for making resolutions, but I wanted to start the year off right and begin something new. Tom Ford said it best, “I believe in living life the way that you want to live it every day, and if you do that you don’t really need to have New Year’s Resolutions.”

It’s a great quote that really got my wheels turning. I’ve been wanting a new creative outlet for a while now that would get me excited and be appealing. Day-to-day responsibilities with work, and quite frankly life, can sidetrack you from things you once had time to do or enjoyed.

For those who don’t know me and got here by way of Google by accident, my name is Christian DiPietro and I’m a Designer, general good person, and the biggest Pop Culture enthusiast you’re going to meet. Style junkie, culture vulture, and self proclaimed Lower East Side Greaser. So why not put that all in one place?

Enter The New York Narrative. This New Yorker’s take on all things Pop Culture. From Entertainment to Design, all the way to Superhero’s. Add in a dash of Lifestyle and signature snark, and you’ve got The New York Narrative.

I landed in New York City over four years ago. I always knew I wanted to be here, so after college and without a job, I finagled my way to NYC and haven’t looked back since. We live in the most inspiring, glamorous, frustrating, uplifting, difficult, and fun place in the world. Hopefully by coming to the site, you’ll see New York the same way I do.

While some content will be personal, the site will be about more than just my obsession with the new boots I got that week. I’ve got fun, fantastic, smart people in my life and want this to be an interactive experience. It would be really fun and I hope everyones interested in doing so! But you know, no pressure…

So stay tuned, I think this is going to be really fun and exciting! Social Media pages will be created soon. I will be kicking off posts this week covering Golden Globe fashion and year in review performance spotlights in Film, Television, and Theater leading up to the Academy Awards.
