Hi Everyone,
So much conspiring, and we have more! I’m loving that everyone is so gung-ho about the interactive aspect of The New York Narrative and I hope it continues!
Jess probably has the kindest heart I’ve ever encountered. Even when she is talking smack (which is like, never…) she’s nice about it. I met Jess through fellow conspirator Sarah, and it was the nicest thing Sarah could have done because she’s a real gem. Jess is a total Earth Mama who has an affinity for crossbows and puppies, so, naturally we hit it off right away. She’s also just an awesome person in general who is the definition of “Great Friend.”
Like Kerry, Jess is more of a Drug Store gal when it comes to her beauty routine which makes her products attainable for all.
So take a look, check out what Jess is using, and enjoy!

Who: Jess, 28 (29 in 2 weeks!)
Hometown: Millbrook, NY
Currently resides: Upper East Side, NYC
Occupation: Sports Advertising Sales
Style Icon: “Sienna Miller, Blake Lively, and Jen Aniston.”
Beauty Icon: “All three again – I love Sienna’s Boho look, Blake’s chic Red Carpet looks, and Jen’s simple and minimal style. I’ve loved Jen since her ‘Friends’ days and that she really hasn’t looked like she’s aged much since then! Yet she never looks like she’s trying too hard either.”
Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner, $7.99
“My Shampoo and Conditioner varies. I try to switch up the brands each time I run out. Lately my hair has felt weighed down from hair sprays and heat protection products, so I am using Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo with matching conditioner. But I switch it up and also use Herbal Essences Color Me Happy and “Long Term Relationship as well. I like products that make my hair smell nice and it’s a nice compliment when I hug someone and they tell me ‘you smell so nice!’ (yes that’s a little creepy, ha)”
“I’m a big fan of exfoliating face washes, so I’ve been using St. Ives Apricot Scrub for years. Now and then I’ll switch it up and try something new, but I always fall back to this one.”
Olay Sensitive Body Wash, $6.29
“For my body was it’s Dove or Olay! Lately Olay because it’s the most moisturizing in the dry winter months.”
“I use Dove Invisible Solid and I always switch up the scents! They work the best to prevent razor burn and last all day.”
Johnson’s Bedtime Baby Lotion, $3.19
“Sounds weird, but it makes my skin feel super soft and it has a soothing scent!”
*Fun Fact: She’s not wrong, it smells great.
“My lashes aren’t that defined on their own, so I’ve found that wearing mascara wakes up my eyes and completely changes the appearance of my face. I use DiorShow Blackout because it makes my lashes look extremely long and curled.”
*Fun Fact: Guys, it’s either Dior or Maybelline for your lashes. Just ask Sarah and Kerry. There’s a trend here…
“Lip gloss I can switch up, but I do need something with a hint of color (not too much). Right now I have Rose Pearl by Revlon.”
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, $42.00
“On my face I like to use a tinted moisturizer, like this one from Laura Mercier. It’s light and I HATE that caked on feeling. I like that this doesn’t feel heavy at all. I also have a bit of redness on the right side of my face, so this takes away from that.”
bareMinerals Mineral Veil Tinted Finishing Powder, $21
“On top of that I like bareMinerals for the same reason— so light! I just can’t stand to feel like there is heavy wet makeup seeping into my pores, so I prefer the powder version. It also has SPF 15 so I feel protected from the sun in the Summertime!”
“I use Boi-Ing concealer for dark under-eye circles. I used to hate concealers because they felt oily but when I found this I fell in love. It’s a quick fix under the eyes and for any blemishes that pop up from time to time.”
“I try to keep neutral with my nails. Lately I’ve been doing the shellac (gel) nails in any neutral shade, but I also love Ballet Slippers by Essie! Toes I prefer a coral color, like California Coral also by Essie.”
“Speaking of smelling nice, you know I love my Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume! I had Lola as well, but I fell in love with Daisy and decided to stick with that— lot’s of compliments on it!”
Jess and I making friends with a bedazzled Horse this past Summer in Saratoga.
